摘要：

Congenital esophageal stenosis is a rare condition, the most common cause is the persistency of embryonic tracheobronchial remnants. A tentative diagnosis is based on a physical examination and imaging studies. Dysphagia and vomiting are the most common complaints. A definitive diagnosis is based on a histopathologic study. The treatment of choice is surgical excision. We report a case of a four-year old girl with congenital esophageal stenosis succesfully treated with surgical excision.
