摘要：
A discussion is presented of some of the new techniques for medical image detection, processing, transmission, storage and display that are of particular interest to the electrooptical community. Focusing on digital radiography, this paper surveys several time- and energy-subtractive imaging techniques, along with medical applications of quantitative data extraction, function imaging and spatial filtering.
