The relative change in shear ultrasonic velocity in single phased YBa2Cu3O7-delta (delta=0.02) polycrystalline high T(c) superconductor has been determined using the phase detection technique. The shear velocity was found to increase at a greater rate below the zero-resistance temperature (T(c) = 90 K) and showed a slope discontinuity (d/dT [DELTA-v(s)/v(s)]) of 84 ppm/K. Using experimental value of the discontinuity in the specific heat at T(c), the second shear-stress-derivatives of the transition temperature (partial derivative2 T(c)/partial derivative2) is estimated to be 0.06 K/(kbar2).
