摘要
The problem of heat transfer for fully developed flow of a third order Rivlin-Ericksen type of non-Newtonian fluid in a channel has been studied by means of the variational formulation. Consideration is given to the case when the walls of the channel are kept at one constant temperature upstream of the origin and at a different constant temperature downstream. A solution is presented for the temperature distribution and Nusselt number variation with dimensionless axial distance.
