摘要
Hydration rates in H2O of carbon suboxide are substantial but less than those of ketene, by factors of 2.5 x 10(3) and 5.2 x 10(4) for the neutral and acid-catalysed reactions, respectively, in qualitative agreement with ab initio calculated stabilities of probable intermediates.
