摘要
We describe a novel class of instrument called the Heterodyned Holographic Spectrometer. It uses a grating, but the measurements are taken in the Fourier domain. This combines the high etendue characteristic of interferometers with the non-scanning property associated with dispersive devices. An aperture of 20mm would be well-matched to telescopes of even the Very Large class. We present the theory of the device, as well as simulated and real measurements with a prototype. © 1990 Kluwer Academic Publishers.
