摘要
This paper provides an overview over the developments of Structural Reliability applied to nuclear structures as presented during SMiRT Conferences. Early developments date back to SMiRT 2, held in Berlin in 1973. This review addresses methods and procedures of structural reliability, of stochastic structural dynamics and its applications in earthquake engineering, of stochastic fracture mechanics, load combination, structural fragility and damage analysis, quality assessment and probability based codified design in terms of a discussion of selected papers. The Division covers theoretical developments as well as practical applications to nuclear structures and components. It is pointed out that structural reliability estimation of nuclear structures is a necessary prerequisite for performing a credible risk analysis.
