IMPROVED HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHIC METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF SOME CORTICOSTEROIDS

A simple, selective and accurate high performance liquid chromatographic method for the determination of some pharmaceutically important corticosteroids has been developed. The suggested method uses a ultrasphere ODS column with acetonitrile-phosphate buffer (pH 8) as a mobile phase. The mean percentage recovery ranged from 97.9 to 99.7. The proposed method was applied to the determination of the studied corticosteroids in some dosage forms. The statistical analysis of the results obtained were compared favourably with those given with the official method.
