摘要
A study of the quantity of specimens necessary to evaluate the fracture toughness in the dutile-to-brittle transition region is presented in this work. An analysis of Iwadate et al.'s proposal is made from a dimensional point of view to fulfil the K(IC) requirements. A verification of Wallin's proposals is also made. An experimental validation of the different proposal is made using series of up to 36 specimens. Finally, a reinterpretation of the ductile-to-brittle transition curve is proposed, considering a better understanding of the different phenomena that occur and their close connection.
