The Keystone Symposium on Alzheimer's disease (AD), held in Copper Mountain, CO, USA, provided an opportunity for research scientists and industry experts in the field of AD and related disciplines to meet and discuss the future of AD research. This 5-day conference, comprised of 36 lectures and short talks, along with three poster sessions, covered a range of topics, including modeling AD progression, synaptic/neuronal dysfunction, neuronal regeneration, immunology, protein degradation, diagnostics and therapeutics. The primary goal of the symposia was to discuss new avenues of research and new ways to examine and interpret this disease - beyond amyloid beta.
