摘要
The study of epidemics gained a new interest in last years of the 20th century thanks to AIDS which was the main motivation for investigation of these kinds of pathologies stemming from the field of medicine that propel us toward other disciplines such as history or sociology. It is surprising that the largest contemporary pandemic suffered by the world's population with disturbing mortality statistics received little attention from average society and the academic community in particular. The following text introduces us to the study and historical construction of the 1918-1919 epidemic in the city of Daimiel, approaching the lack of information about this topic in this geographical area, extending the analysis to the chronological territorial, social and demographic scopes, in order to understand forgotten phenomena which always have the possibility of repeating.
