ETHICS IN ANIMAL EXPERIMENTATION

Owing to progresses in biomedical research particularly in the fields of genetics, procreation, brain therapy, searchers, jurists and the whole public are facing entirely new moral problems. Animal experimentation does not escape this evolution of Ethics in the world of Science. The animal is a living being, therefore sensitive. It must take advantage of the cares due to its biological specificities. In addition to his technical skill, the experimentator has to integrate into his research protocols an ethical dimension, in the application and respect of regulations relative to the animal experimentation and protection.
