摘要：
The use of a laboratory information management system model to help initial selection of a commercial system is described. A model is constructed for the laboratory using the requirements outlined in the invitation to tender, secondly the submitted tender documents are then analyzed and models constructed for comparison with the required functions. This is a static evaluation and should be used in conjunction with visits to the supplier, user sites and hands-on testing to select the final system.
