摘要
This article explores the relation of career anchors with key demographic variables and job specifics of convention and exhibition industry professionals in Asia. It reviews the key literature relating to career anchors, which is followed by a discussion of the findings of an online survey of a sample of 700 convention and exhibition industry professionals in Asia. Findings indicate that for the majority of convention and exhibition industry professionals, the lifestyle anchor was the most dominant career anchor. Yet, there was also a sizable number of professionals whose career decisions were guided by multiple career anchors. Differences in ratings for the various career anchors were also identified in terms of age, gender, and job seniority.
