30Kh15N13Yu3 heat resistant steel with an optimum content of alloying elements Cr, Ni and Al has been studied with the aim of improving the service properties of the steel by microalloying. The influence of zirconium, rare earth metals, calcium, and manganese on the structure and properties of the steel was investigated. The favourable effect of microadditions is connected with their influence on the carbide phase of alloys, on the entire complex mechanism and kinetics of oxidation processes, and on the composition of the multilayer scale of alloys.
