摘要
The equations described show that by means of total porosity only, the course of the mean values of tensile strength, elongation, hardness, electrical and thermal conductivity can be expressed. Experimental curves relating toughness to porosity, conductivity and modulus of elasticity are, in general, similar and suggest that these properties are of about equal value for predicting toughness. There does not appear to be any chance of developing a theory to express properties of sintered materials on the basis of porosity. The reason is the large number of variables encountered during powder manufacture, compacting and sintering.
