Unsteady Convective Boundary Layer Flow and Heat Transfer over a Stretching Surface with Non-Uniform Heat Source/Sink and Thermal Radiation

摘要
The effects of thermal radiation and non-uniform heat source/sink on mixed convection flow and heat transfer over an unsteady stretching permeable sheet are studied. The effects of physical parameters on the flow and heat transfer characteristics as well as on the heat transfer rate and skin friction are analyzed. It is found that the temperature decreases in assisting/opposing buoyant flows whereas fluid velocity decreases in assisting flow and increases in the opposing flow due to an increase in the values of the unsteadiness parameter. The effect of non-uniform heat source/sink is to increase the velocity and temperature in assisting flow.
