摘要
Despite the volume of research on learning styles no conclusive results about the influence of gender, course or field of knowledge has been find. While some studies point out differences due to gender, specialty courses or training, other research concludes that these differences are nonexistent or insignificant. This paper tries to understand the role of these variables in learning styles. A sample of 805 college students measured learning styles by CHAEA, and discusses the effect of gender, course and field of knowledge considering the effects univariate and multivariate. Data analysis can be concluded that all analyzed variables produce differences in styles, although the trends of simple tests should be qualified with the results of multivariate analysis.
