摘要：
Sedimentation studies have been performed on polydisperse aqueous continuous suspensions of a commercial herbicide. The progress of the sedimentation process has been monitored continuously and non-invasively by use of an ultrasound velocity scanning technique that allows monitoring of the volume fraction of the suspension at all vertical levels in the suspension. The sedimentation process has been moderated in the suspensions by addition of various water-soluble polymers which can inhibit sedimentation by different mechanisms depending on the polymer type and the dispersant type. © 1990.
