The electrophoretic and immunological properties of Surti buffalo follicular fluid and blood serum proteins were studied. The follicular fluid contained significantly higher total protein and albumin when compared with blood serum. A close immunological relationship was observed between follicular fluid and blood serum proteins. An equal number of immunoprecipitations were observed when antibodies of follicular fluid proteins were reacted with blood serum and follicular fluid. However, the number of immunoprecipitations recorded with Laurell's rocket immunoelectrophoresis and 2-dimensional electrophoresis were more in follicular fluid when compared with blood serum.
