摘要
Advanced aerospace systems such as the national aerospace plane are slated to use hydrogen as a fuel. Thus, caution must be exercised in the use of materials which can exhibit degradation in mechanical properties on exposure to hydrogen. Although recent work shows that hydrogen has adverse effects on titanium aluminides, it can also be used to advantage to improve processing and refine microstructure using the thermochemical processing technique.
