摘要：
The article presents a brief analysis of breeding and reproduction of woody plants both in Russia and abroad. Key development trends in this area are singled out; a hypothetical integral plan of breeding and reproduction is suggested; short-term promising trends of genetic breeding in forest management are introduced.
