摘要
The feasibility of drastic acceleration in nuclear electromagnetic transitions is shown in the externally applied intense radiation of the appropriate frequency, which compensates for the energy difference of the electronic-shell and nuclear transitions. In the case of U-235 the enhancement attains two orders of magnitude. Further applications of the effect for study of nuclear excitation through electronic transitions and for generating coherent X-ray beams are noted.
