FEASIBILITY OF THE STIMULATED-EMISSION IN THE VUV SPECTRAL REGION DUE TO NEON MOLECULE DICATIONS

摘要
Experimental data are analyzed on the formation of Ne2(2+) molecule in neon upon exposure to the beam of charged particles or the X-ray radiation. A conclusion is drawn that the high-power highly efficient lasing due to electron transitions in the Ne2(2+) ion at the wavelength of approximately 80 nm can be obtained at the specific pump power of approximately 10 MW/cm3 and the neon pressure of approximately 2 atm.
