摘要
A nonlinear evolution equation for void fraction in fluidization is derived from a one-dimensional continuous model by applying the method of adiabatic eliminations. The behaviour of the solutions of our equation near the transition point from stable fluidized beds to unstable ones crucially depends on the value of the particle viscosity; from solitonlike behaviour to chaotic behaviour.
