MAGNETIC SUPPORT FROM PARTIALLY DEACETYLATED CHITIN FOR ENZYME IMMOBILIZATION

摘要
Magnetic supports were prepared by immobilizing magnetite in partially deacetylated chitin (PDAC) with glutaraldehyde. It was found that a PDAC obtained by boiling chitin in 37.5% (w/w) sodium hydroxide was an excellent support with enclosed magnetite and that the magnetic support was also suitable for immobilizing protein. Magnetic supports immobilized with pullulanase responded quickly to a magnetic field and showed enzyme activity.
