摘要
Reactions of short-lived, intermediate species in aqueous solutions of para-isobutyl and para-n-butylnaphthalenesulfonates (N) were studied by means of pulse radiolysis and spectrophotometric detection. It was found that e(aq), OH, and H react with N with rate constants (2.5 +/- 0.3).10(10), (1.8 +/- 0.2).10(10), and (5.0 +/- 0.5).10(9) liter/mole.sec, respectively. The singly reduced N- radical disproportionates (2k = 3.5.10(9) liter/mole.sec) and is oxidized by O2 (k = (2.0 +/- 0.3).10(9) liter/mole.sec). It is also shown that the OH-adduct undergoes a disproportionation reaction and an oxidation reaction with O2 (rate constant approximately 2.10(6) liter/mole.sec).
