摘要
The possibility for the existence of a neutron depolarization mechanism leading to the dependence of the depolarization coefficient upon neutron wavelength is demonstrated. This dependence differs essentially from those predicted in the basic Halpern-Holstein theory. It is shown that the responsibility for this depolarization coefficient dependence difference may be attributed to mutual correlations between the normal components of local induction in adjacent micro domains along a neutron trajectory which crosses the sample. The main results are obtained by means of a numerical experiment applying a special program developed for computation of the depolarization coefficient.
