摘要：
The development of a process for continuous electroslag melting of metallised pellets is described and its performance is compared with that of conventional electroslag and vacuum arc remelting. Its advantages include lower metal nitrogen and hydrogen contents. The process is most efficient with continuous withdrawal of the ingot and its cutting into measured lengths. An experimental industrial installation using the new process is described. Its productivity is 25-50% greater than that of similar electroslag remelting plant and its costs are considerably less.
