MHD Boundary Layer Flow and Heat Transfer Due to a Nanofluid Over an Exponentially Stretching Non-Isothermal Sheet

摘要
The boundary layer flow and heat transfer over a non-isothermal exponentially stretching sheet due to a nanofluid have been numerically studied with the effect of magnetic field and thermal radiation. Similarity transformation is used to convert the governing non-linear boundary-layer equations into coupled higher order non-linear ordinary differential equations. These equations were numerically solved using fourth order Runge-Kutta method with shooting technique. The velocity, temperature and nanoparticle concentration profiles are analyzed with respect to the involved parameters. Numerical results were obtained for velocity, temperature and concentration distribution for both cases. Moreover, the results indicate that the local Nusselt number decreases with an increase in both Brownian motion parameter Nb and thermophoresis parameter Nt. However, the local Sherwood number increases with an increase in both thermophoresis parameter Nt and Lewis number Le, but it decreases as the values of Nb increase. A comparison with a previous study available in the literature has been done and an excellent agreement with it has been found.
