摘要
The effects of temperature, pH and hydrogen concentration on the solubility of magnetite and nickel ferrite, which are major corrosion products in nuclear reactors, were studied. Measurements of the solubility of magnetite by a static method were made in an autoclave. The experimental results were compared with the values obtained by a thermodynamic analysis. The calculations were performed for magnetite and stoichiometric nickel ferrite as typical corrosion products generated in PWR coolants by utilizing the known and published thermodynamic properties. Input data for the thermodynamic analysis were examined in detail because they affect the results critically. The calculational result showed that the deposition of the corrosion products can be controlled by proper selection of lithium and boron concentrations.
