摘要
The recent debate in this journal between Gloria Laycock and Cynthia Lum and Leslie Kennedy (vol. 6, no. 4, pp. 317-26; see also vol. 6, no. 2, pp. 101-7) raised a number of key points with respect to experimental criminology. The debate also drew attention to some simmering disagreements within the criminological community about the substantive focus and role of a criminology that favors a more experimental approach. This opinion essay offers to contribute to this debate with some new perspectives and developments in experimental criminology-drawn from a book project on the subject.
