摘要
Field and laboratory tests were performed to evaluate whether various materials were sufficiently corrosion resistant for use in fasteners under aggressive conditions in road tunnels. Only the chromium-nickel-molybdenum (Cr-Ni-Mo) steels and Ni alloys proved especially resistant over the long term. Results of field testing over the long term. Results of field testing over three years correlated well with laboratory tests. Considering other factors such as material machinability, availability, and costs, the best materials were found to be the Cr-Ni-Mo steels containing 6% Mo.
