摘要
Excitation of a particular stretching vibration in the reagent ion NH 3+ influences the course of its reaction with ND3. The extent of charge transfer (a), proton transfer (b), and deuterium abstraction (c) depends on how the unbrella mode and the symmetrical breathing mode are excited. Thanks to the work of Zare et al. discussed here, the goal of controlling the reaction channels of complex molecules is a little closer. (Formula Presented.)
