摘要：
The general theory of the coherent scattering of electromagnetic waves for the detection of L. H. (Lower Hybrid) heating waves is reviewed. Some basic properties of the propagation of L. H. waves are summarized in the framework of a warm plasma electromagnetic description. The coherent scattering theory is then formulated assuming a fluid model. Finally, it is shown that some important characteristics of L. H. waves should be detectable in principle by a suitable scattering experiment.
