摘要
The relation between the parameters of noise and size distribution of fragments in grinding of a spherical particle between two colliding balls was studied in order to apply the grinding noise to on-tine measurement of particle-size distribution in the grinding process. A radiation model of grinding noise was proposed, and the predicted pressure-time waveform agreed well with the measured one. The grinding noise was radiated by sudden acceleration of the ball surface, and the acceleration depended on the fracturing process of a particle. The frequency components of noise radiated from grinding balls related closely to the parameters of the size distribution of fragments. The mean diameter and width of size distribution of the fragments could be estimated by the spectral analysis of grinding noise.
