摘要
The gradual decline in mean IQ from 109.75 at age 7.5- to 103.41 at age 13.5 may mean that the test overestimates the ability of younger children. A 2-way analysis of variance by subtest and sex failed to indicate any sex differences at the 3 age levels tested. Boys did better on the verbal subtests and girls on the performance ones. This may present serious problems for profile analysis. The higher IQ at the lower ages and the apparent sex differences were difficult to explain.
