What Kind of Physical Education for Latin America?

摘要
This study locates the situation of physical education in Latin America, finding positions that privilege technical and instrumental rationality determined by consumption, efficiency, performance and hedonism to an extreme, and others that, on the contrary, seek a more human comprehension and meaning, where potentializing the human being as a unit and as a determined and determining project is relevant and responds to interests and needs for the integral training of citizens, both men and women. Deepening the latter analytical perspective, theoretical and concrete elements are submitted for discussion about constructing a physical education in, with and for the entire population of Latin America.
