摘要
In view of the effects of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) on plasma lipid levels, we have analysed the association between LPL polymorphism and lipid levels in the combined hyperlipidemic subjects, The allele frequency of the PvuII polymorphic site showed a significant difference between control and combined hyperlipidemic groups (P<0.005). But there was no significant difference in the allele frequency of the HindIII polymorphic site, Each polymorphic site had values of relatively high heterozygosity and polymorphism information content (PIC). The P1P1 genotype of the PvuII site was associated with elevated triglyceride levels in the combined hyperlipidemic group. Subjects with a heterozygous genotype had intermediate levels of triglyceride. Thus, PvuII polymorphism indicated a gene dosage effect on the triglyceride levels in the combined hyperlipidemic group, Compared to the PvuII site, the HindIII site showed little association with lipid levels, The effects of LPL polymorphism on lipid profiles varies significantly among racial or ethnic groups, So we have discussed the clinical importance of these RFLPs.
