An experimental study was made of the deposition of the salt Na2SO4 from feed water during the generation of steam in a spiral channel. The range of the test parameters: mass velocity rhoomega = 500.1500 kg/(m2 sec), pressure P = 10-18 MPa, thermal load 0.1-1.2 MW/m2 salt concentration C = 0.6-1.8 g/kg. The position of the boundary corresponding to the beginning of deposition is determined Comparison of the critical thermal loads and the loads corresponding to the beginning of salt deposition showed that deposition begins at lower values of vapor content. It was also determined that the salt concentration at the heating surface may reach two orders of magnitude within the investigated parameter range.
