摘要
A continuum model for binary liquid mixtures is used to investigate local compositions. The separate and combined effects of size and energy differences are explored, as well as the choice of mixing rules, for all bulk compositions of the system. The adhesive intermolecular potential of Baxter is used for this purpose because it has a simple solution and permits an unequivocal definition of nearest neighbors in the mixture. The separate coordination numbers are also computed.
