Welcome North was designed to operate unlike any other mineral exploration company, and has progressed through a profitable 1976 field season North of 60. It is believed to be the only exploration company able to maintain a good working capital position without any involvement in a producing mine. This is done by farming out mineral properties in partnerships. By bringing in the senior mining companies, Welcome North recoups its initial investments through cash payments and negotiates for good carried interests. Currently, its 50-property inventory stretches from the Arctic coast to Prince George, B. C.
