摘要
In the university context today, it is the groups or research teams that strictu sensu do research and produce knowledge. This activity would not be possible if it were not for a very close relationship between research, writing, publication and applications. The very tight intertwining of the triad writing-research-publication does not occur spontaneously among us, but becomes a problematic relationship. This article bears on two of the most problematic aspects: writing among the faculty at the university (the demands, the underlying factors for its existence and the lack of programs for its nurturing). On the other hand we will dwell on the inextricable relation between writing and research to try to demonstrate the second is not possible if there is no competence for the first. Based on this couple of elements we will present the proposal "Research to publish" that targets on the education of researchers to create the capacity to read and write in order to produce research and publications to effectively contribute to new knowledge.
