摘要
The paper deals with the parental control and their influence on the personality dimensions of the adolescent. The aim of the research is to identify correlations between mother's and father's control and personality dimensions of their children (adolescents), and to found clusters of these variables. Personality dimensions were examined using the Big Five model, specifically the NEO FFI questionnaire. The control was examined using a DZSVR questionnaire. On a sample of 346 adolescents, a strong correlation was found between parents' control and all Big Five personality dimensions of adolescents. The personality dimensions extraversion, openness, agreeableness and conscientiousness were in a positive correlation with parents' control while neuroticism was in negative correlation with the control. A hierarchical cluster analysis extracts three groups of personality profiles based on their parents low, high and a discrepant coercive control.
