Kidney diseases are characterised by an asymptomatic evolution. Kidney failure encompasses various pathophysiological mechanisms. A certain number of specialities can impair kidney function. It is therefore necessary to take precautions in the management of medicines in patients with kidney failure. The pharmacist must be particularly vigilant in cases of self-medication and the consumption of dietary supplements. (C) 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved
