Selecting a cushion to interface with a client's wheelchair is as important as the features of the wheelchair itself, as it is essential to maintain a stable base of support. This article discusses the relationship between sitting, posture and pressure damage and gives general guidance on the types of wheelchair cushion on the market and their respective properties.
