摘要
Health education is a combination of experiences at a level of relations between health professionals and an active community in their social participation, thereby building an understanding by modifying their own perceptions, in search of a better quality of life. Thus, this article proposes to present a qualitative analysis of teaching methods used in health education for professionals in the Health Unit Joao Bezerra, located in the village Areia Branca, Aracaju - Sergipe, besides presenting the characteristics of pedagogical trends, clarify which design education and trend that supports health education and affinity of health professionals with the methodology of health education. For both the research was developed with data collected through interviews with professionals of the unit above, allowing open answers with free expression. We conclude that health education is much more than imparting knowledge, is to facilitate the understanding of the health-disease process, promoting the appreciation of popular knowledge, encouraging active participation in health care through an educational practice guided by the dialogical pedagogy. Within this profile, it is perceived that health professionals are not educationally prepared to face what really is the health education, even believing that education is a big help to improve health.
