French regulation imposes, according to the April, 2nd, 1926 modified decree, that industrial boilers and steam generators be operated under permanent personnel's attendance. Nowadays, the technological advancement allows, subject to the use of reliable information captors and immediate intervention agents, and as dispensation from the decree, to operate boilers under periodic personnel's attendance, under remote control, under automatic control. These operating methods are presented in the standards NF E 32-020/1 to 5, approved on the May, 13th, 1991 to take effect from the June, 13th, 1991.
