摘要：

The paper shows how the titles of Russian satirical magazines function in their texts. Often set in calembour contexts, the titles are involved in an ironic play of meanings, not only characterizing the content of the magazines but also personifying them. Such a functional model constitutes one of the characteristic features of satirical magazines.
