摘要：
An increasing number of drugs are available for the treatment of arterial hypertension, providing the option for an even greater number of possible combinations in order to reach the treatment targets for blood pressure. As hypertension is still not well-controlled in the population, combination therapies are now the focus of therapeutic considerations. Recent evidence from controlled studies suggests that combination therapies are superior to monotherapies in preventing cardiovascular events and mortality.
